As summer winds down, all of us at JAMinc are looking forward to the fall season as we continue to re-evaluate our nonprofit’s purpose and place in the community and mark our 25th anniversary year. We have a few things just ahead to let you know about.
On Sunday, September 20, 2026 JAMinc and the Children’s Museum of Richmond will present the engaging Yiddish accordionist Jordan Wax. Geared for the kids, the show is free with Museum membership. Learn more »
The 23rd edition of the Richmond Folk Festival runs October 9-11, 2026 and as we have since the beginning, JAMinc will be providing sound reinforcement and transportation for the Friday school outreach initiative that will see eight artists/groups do 10 performances at various Richmond Public Schools.
JAMinc again has the pleasure of selecting four hometown artists to perform on Saturday and Sunday on the Family Stage. This year’s roster features Laura Ann Singh, the Tampa Taiko Japanese Drummers, Erin Lunsford and Desirée Roots. Check the schedule as we get a little closer to the event »
And we’ll be heading back to our longtime home base at In Your Ear Studios on Thursday, November 5, 2026 for a return visit from Portland’s banjo/slide guitar master Tony Furtado. Tony played for us in Studio A nearly 20 years ago and he’ll be back with renowned mandolinist Matt Flinner. No pot luck but guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverage. Tickets will go on sale in late September on this website.
